Computer vision syndrome, also known as digital eye strain, refers to a range of vision and eye disorders caused by continuous usage of a computer , tablet, e­ reader or mobile phone.

A few easy modifications at workplace setting can improve and prevent the symptoms:

 

  • Regular eye check-up
  • Eye exercises
  • Wearing anti-glare glasses
  • Proper lighting
  • Regular blinking
  • Maintain 20 inches distance between monitor and eyes
  • Follow 20-20-20 Rule – Look away from the screen every 20 minutes around 20 feet away for about 20
